Lake Brienz is quieter, wilder and more intensely coloured than almost anywhere else in the Interlaken region. Glacier-fed water that is genuinely turquoise, cliffs that drop straight into it, and a shoreline where you can go a long while without meeting another boat.

Very few people see it privately. Availability here is limited and every experience is arranged individually.

Why Brienz

Giessbach FallsFourteen tiers of waterfall dropping straight into the lake. There is one angle that does it justice and it only exists from a boat.

Alpine solitudeFewer boats, quieter shores, steeper walls. Where Lake Thun is elegant, Brienz is raw.

There are boats on Brienz. None of them are private.

Lake Brienz has scheduled ferries, public cruises and group tours. They run to a timetable, they stop where the timetable says, and you share the deck with everyone else who bought a ticket.

A private charter is the opposite of all of that: your own boat, your own pace, the route decided on the day, and nobody else aboard.

Brienz or Thun?

They are twenty minutes apart and they are not the same experience at all.
